Veterinarians

Dr. Rick Moore
DVM
Dr. Rick Moore obtained his DVM degree from the University of Tennessee in 1982. Prior to veterinary school, he served as an active duty officer and pilot in the U.S. Army and in the Tennessee Army National Guard until 1984. He has been in private general practice for 40 years. He has served as President of his local professional veterinary chapter and has been an active member of the American Animal Hospital Association, serving on the Council of 100 and as Regional Director.
Dr. Moore maintains professional associations with the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Heartworm Society, and the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Moore feels that quality medicine, client education and building relationships are the most important aspects of his job. He enjoys the small, private practice atmosphere where he can become intimately involved in his patient's healthcare needs. He loves veterinary medicine and looks forward to coming to work each and every day.
In his spare time, Dr. Moore enjoys working on his farm, tinkering with his antique tractors and spending time with his family. He is married to Joan, who works with him in the practice. They have three grown children and love spending as much time as possible with their four grandchildren.

Dr. Kelsi Alexander
DVM
Dr. Alexander is a native of Cartersville, GA, and now resides in Dallas, GA, with her husband, Seth, their son, Keever, and their daughter Findley Rae. Their home is also filled with the joy of four dogs, two cats, a mini pig, a horse and a pony.
Dr. Alexander has been passionate about becoming a veterinarian since she was old enough to talk, and her dedication to animals has only grown over the years. She pursued her dream by earning a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the University of Georgia in 2012, followed by her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating with the class of 2016.
With a special interest in internal medicine, surgery, ultrasound, and preventative care, Dr. Alexander is committed to educating pet owners and enhancing the human-animal bond. She is enthusiastic about helping pets live healthier, happier, longer lives and building long-term relationships with her clients.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends, pets and riding her horse.

Dr. Natalie Richardson
DVM
Meet Our New Associate Veterinarian – Dr. Natalie Richardson! ![]()
We’re excited to welcome Dr. Natalie Richardson to the Animal Medical Center of Cartersville team!
Dr. Richardson earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Brigham Young University–Idaho in 2015, where she built a strong foundation working with cattle and dairy animals. She later returned to the South to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Lincoln Memorial University (Class of 2020).
After graduation, Dr. Richardson began her career in equine medicine, practicing for several years before transitioning into small animal practice. She’s passionate about providing compassionate, personalized care and loves building lasting relationships with her clients and patients. Her professional interests include sports medicine, surgery, and preventative care.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Richardson coaches Olympic Weightlifting and enjoys spending time with her horse and mini donkey.

Seth Alexander
Practice Manager
Seth joined the Animal Medical Center family in November 2024. He worked as multi-site director for a Physical Therapy company for nearly a decade and has been in the veterinary industry for 9+ years. He is known for his happy go lucky personality and stellar dad jokes. Seth is married to Dr. Alexander. They have a son named Keever, a daughter named Findley, 5 dogs, 2 cats, a mini pig, a horse, and a pony.
